Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a
tree a long time ago - Warren Buffett.
I’ve found
good investing is boring.
Sure
everyone likes to hear stories about that 25-year-old who created a
tech-startup and made millions or the property hotspot that outperformed, but
in reality, for the vast majority of us investing is boring.
Let me say
that differently…Property investment should be boring.
A solid
investment strategy should be as interesting as watching grass grow, or in
Buffet's analogy, a tree grows.
Planting a
tree is a long-term bet.
You don't
plant a tree today and expect shade tomorrow.
But if you
plant the right seeds in the right conditions, sooner or later time will work
its magic and you'll have a tree.
It's the
same with property investing: there is no quick fix when it
comes to building and growing your wealth over time.
It's about
planning first then doing.
